Charter with an Experienced, Knowledgeable Capt.Captain

Capt. Fisher is a full-time resident guide offering fishing charters year-round. In 1985, at age 14, he began working as a mate for local charter captains. His service in the industry has continued yearly without interruption. From these early fishing roots he developed a vast knowledge of the waters surrounding the Northern Neck and became proficient in utilizing local angling techniques. After graduating from Appalachian State University, he returned home to the Northern Neck, received his USCG Captain's license in 1998 and started Fisher's Bay Charters the following year. A business that began with the "SILVER MIST" (the smallest inspected charterboat in the area) , through a dedication to hard work and a commitment to customer satisfaction, has now proudly evolved to the "HERITAGE" (possibly the largest inspected charterboat in the area).


The Crew


First Mate Doug Gray spent many of his childhood years fishing with his grandfather. Over the years he has worked on charterboats learning the trade and in 2006 he became a USCG licensed captain. In 2008 he became the full time mate aboard the "HERITAGE".  His passion for fishing takes him beyond the daily duties of a mate.  Currently Doug hand pours, paints and ties all of the bucktails and parachute baits used on the "HERITAGE".

The HERITAGE allows our customers to enjoy top shelf Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean fishing in comfort and safety. The large cockpit provides ample room for large groups to spread out and fish without feeling crowded.  The spacious heated cabin and extended awning provide a place where everyone onboard can be protected from cold air, wind, rain or summer sun.
